[RESOLVED] Some ideas on a set of wireless headphones for my tv

I think Sennheiser is usually the go-to for wireless headphones.

If I were buying a set of wireless headphones I'd have rechargeable at or near the top of the checklist of necessities. Batteries, at least good ones, are really expensive and the power drain with headphones is pretty high.

Even with lower prices they are still out of my price range. Do you use headphones on your tv/s fink?

Sennheisers are the way to go. If you want wireless, they won't be cheap no matter what brand you get.

Thanks jdc for the links. I'm not sure now what I'll buy. My brother was wanting advice on these also so I'll pass this info on to him.

I only use headphones for work and they're not wireless. My choice for pro applications is Sony but that's a whole different kettle of fish.

If you're really picky about the audio quality and minimal budget,
May as well stick with wired headphones and if necessary, extension.

I wanted a pair of wireless headphones too but just couldn't justify paying a lot for them, so I bought a pair of el cheapo which had 3 stars on Amazon, thinking that it would be at least ok. But I returned it the very next day. It was horrible. I guess you do want to spend the money with this kind of gadgets.

Well, I didn't want to buy el cheapo but didn't want to buy really expensive ones either. I'll mark this resolved because I don't think I'll be buying any wireless headphones unless I win the lottery.

From the various end-user feedbacks,
It appears that generally, sub $70.00 wireless headphones has issues with interference and/or constant hiss in the background.
We're back to one's acceptable tolerance for sound quality.

That's what I wanted to stay away from if possible. I remember years ago those headphones I used on my computer were that way, hissing and/or interference while trying to chat on line. So, I'll stand on holding out for more money to buy the better and more expensive set.
