Got to get the driver from HP.
And you need to select which of the 16 laptop you have.

Error typically displayed with incorrect driver installation attempt.
As Train already stated,
Check again and try those available from HP, especially models with hybrid/switchable video chips.
The Intel drivers will definitely not work for hybrid/switchable graphics.
Cheers.

If applicable,
Boot into Safe Mode and remove all driver(s) related to video.
Reboot system,
Enter Safe Mode again and install driver(s) related to video.
Cheers.

Will i have to buy the drivers from the site, seeing as they wont show up on the computer after they've been removed?

All the drivers you need for that computer should be available for free from the manufacturer's web site, provided it isn't so old that support is no longer available.
