I have already tried taken some steps to try to resolve stop (blue screen) errors for Windows 7 below.

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...s-in-Windows-7

    CHKDSK reported the volume clean
Checked for memory (RAM) problems using the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool. No memory problems detected.

If you have any ideas or suggestions to help me try to resolve this issue that would be great.

Using the 12 series drivers? Back bown to the 11s and see if that helps.
Also see where someone uninstall catalyst (not the drivers), and had not recieved the error since doing so.

I do have the Catalyst Control Center installed so may try doing removing that first.

How do I back down to the 11s drivers?

After it opens up with the latest drivers for your card,
Toward the right bottom, select the previous Drivers and software line.

When I try to open the Catalyst Control Center I get the following error:

Catalyst Control Center cannot be started. There are currently no settings that can be configured using Catalyst Control Center.

Maybe I'll just uninstall the Catalyst Control Center (not the drivers).

Uninstalled/Reinstalled ATI Radeon in Device Manager, did Scan for Hardware changes to let windows get the latest drivers. Removed Catalyst from computer. Will see if that takes care of it.

It has been a few days and so far no blue screen so I beleive this has been resolved.

The one thing I have to say is this. Graphic cards do need driver updates periodically. When I checked the manufacturer's website I'm afraid I'll need the Catalyst program which is required for getting driver updates. I didn't see an option for drivers (only). I hope this doesn't happen again in the future.

That's why I use Nvidia cards. I have seen so many problem with ATI cards on this website and often ran into them repairing computers, that I have never used one in any of my own computers.

Oh and Hi Eric! Good to see you here.

    Nice to see you too!

I'll keep that in mind in the future. This computer came with dual ATI cards so I'll look at Nvidia if I have anymore problems.
