    hi all,

basicaly every time i boot up my laptop now i get that error code (Error 0200: failure fixed disk 0) before the laptop gets the chance to get anywhere.

also what ive noticed it that when i turn it on and get that message the hard drive is is making a constant ticking clock noise.

it just randomly froze last night, then when i turned it back on i got that message.

my OS is windows 7 on a lenovo u450

    can anybody help?

    thanks again

That sounds like your hard drive may be on the way out. You might want to download and run the hard drive manufacturer's diagnostic software. The Ultimate Boot CD has diagnostics for most hard drives on it.

Doesn't matter that it's a new hard drive, they can die at any time. That ticking sound certainly is a typical indication of a bad drive. Do as jdc2000 suggested.

Yep, hard drive usually either last many years, or they are dead within the first few weeks.
