RECORDING CABLE TV TO A VCR, OR PC

I have been trying to record from the cable TV box to a VCR, PC using different cables. The Video records OK but the audio plays back garbled. Is it a copywrite issue ? and is there some special software/ hardware I can buy, to solve the problem

Very unlikely a copyright problem. Can you give us the details..

Is the cable signal analog or digital?

Which connectors/outputs/inputs are you using for the cable outputs and the VCR and the computer inputs?

Do you have a video capture card on the computer?

What software/program are you currently using on the computer to record?

Have you installed any codec packs or third party recording software on the computer?

VirtualDr email notices are not working.
    Check back regularly for responses.
