Virus July 9 2012

I just heard something about the FBI is warning that there could be an internet shutdown on Monday July 9 2012. What is this and how serious is it? Could any of my bank accounts that I log into on my computer be comprimised in any way after I logged into them within the past several weeks? Is there a way of knowing at all? How serious is this and is there anything I should have done or need to do to my computer or particularly firefox browser since that is the browser I use? I appreciate the help.

Photolady, thank you for posting that thread and bringing to those who weren't aware of it. I clicked on the link that fink posted in your thread and it said dns resolution = green so I guess my computer is safe? Is there anything I need to do on Monday? Will it be safe to have my computer running on Monday?

Green means you weren't infected and the source of the malware was shut down months ago so you're ok to go.
