I am looking at what is on my SD card that I have in my camera. It has 3 folders. DB, DCIM and Frame. It is a Crucial mini SD. I don't know what the capacity is and would like to know.
Now the DB folder says it is 96KB and a subfolder called PHOTOS. The DCMI folder says it is 6KB and is has a bunch of subfolders with names like 108_0504 and 101_1126. They are all empty. Then the FRAME folder says it is empty.
My camera says the SD card is full. Won't take any more pictures. What can you tell me about this? Also can I delete the DB folder and all the folders in DCMI? I know I should not delete the DCMI folder cause that is where the pics are stored? Thanks
Not sure what you mean about not knowing the capacity, never seen a mini sd card that did not have the size printed on the card itself.
If the card should have room for pictures, but the camera says it does not, then its possible the card has been corrupted somehow.
After copying the pictures over to the computer I would look through the cameras menu and see if there is an option to format the card, that will reinitialise the card, wipe it and set up the folders needed by the camera.
Then try again and see if the camera responds correctly.
This is a "crucial mini SD adapter" and it has no size printed on it. I did format the card using the camera and it seem to go OK. Went to the crucial website and could not find this card. So???
If you right-click on the drive/card when it is in connected to your computer and select Properties, you don't get any size and usage info?
If there is no size printed, how old is the card? Where did you purchase it? There is a possibility it is counterfeit (fake Crucial but made in a back-alley noodle shop in Taiwan).
