Had a bit of bother with one of my 4 HDD. Wouldn't boot. Then for some reason when I pressed F1 to tryu to do something about the S,M.A.R.T problem with the drive, (the motherboard is an Asus P8Z68) it didn't show all the "EZ Bios" or whatever it's called, it was somehow in FRENCH now, and too big and I couldn't see everything that I needed to, but I discovered it wasn't booting from the right HDD, so got onto my Windows 7 again.
But anyone tell me how I can
a/ Repair the S.M.A.R.T whatsits on the one HDD
b/ Change it from French
c/ Get it to open in the 1650 x 1080 it should, instead of 1240 x whatever it was
Also....anyone tell me how I can get rid of the - boot manager is it ? - Windows 8 (which for some reason isn't working properly, no browser will open, no "metro") and a "recovered" and just get it to boot straight into Windows 7 ?

You can't repair S.M.A.R.T.. The Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) is a monitoring system for computer hard disk drives to detect and report on various indicators of reliability, in the hope of anticipating failures. More info. IOW, if you're seeing a SMART error, you need to get your stuff copied off quickly before the drive fails.

See page "3-2" in the manual, which can be downloaded on this ASUS page.

*-IF-* that option is available, how to change it should also be in the motherboard manual. (Link above).
