Liteon DVD Recorder LVW-5006 difficulties

Hi,

I was given the above mentioned DVD Recorder and I am struggling to get it to work. I can play DVD's no problem but it won't recognise the DVD-RW and DVD-R disks I bought (even thought the notes tell me the logo's on the disks I've bought should work), keeps saying 'Invalid Disk'.

I'm wondering if they only accept particular disks?

Absolutely any help would be appreciated!

The reviews on the drive go back four years..it might be past its prime

But, you could purchase a head cleaning kit and or try other brand of dvds.
