    Need new processor

I need a new processor for socket type AM2. I would like to purchase the same processor of something better.

    motherboard: M2N78-LA
    socket type: AM2
Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 620 quad core

When I search for this processor, I find it's available for socket type AM3. I don't think AM3 is compatible with my motherboard. Can anyone help me?
