How to delete "New Folder2" ?????

I am using a Tevion USB stick to transport some photos. In Windows XP I formatted it to remove all the previous files and then progressively added my photo files making two directories. No problems. and they ran in a slideshow on a Panasonic TV. Now I needed to add more photos in a new directory. SORRY I mean FOLDER ( showing my age). and I found in Internet Explorer that there was already a "New Folder 2" on the stick and I am unable to delete it. It was not created by me and appears to be garbage. (See attached screen shot). I have tried the usual delete methods but after long pauses I get the message unable to delete.

How can I delete this unwanted NewFolder????????

Looks like corrupted files, (failing hardware?)

    What I would do is:
    1. copy all of the good stuff off into a temporary folder,

    2. reformat it with HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool
      http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...mat-Tool.shtml

    3. then copy your stuff back onto the drive.

oigle--Did you try just dragging and dropping this folder into Recycle Bin?

What message do you get when you try to delete?
Does a simple reboot make any difference?
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.
