HP Photosmart Premier - No Internet?
When attempting to email directly from software, error message "No connection to internet" appears. I have entered in the "Proxy" section under "General/Internet" portion of Preferences, the outgoing mail server and port assignments. Identical error appears after rebooting machine? Any suggestions?
thx

What e-mail software? Can you access web sites through a browser?

No problem accessing websites - when asked for "Proxy" settings, I am using the same outgoing server/port as used by my Outlook program.

HP Photosmart Premier ?? That is a printer.
Assuming you mean you get the "No internet connection" message when sending an email from Outlook, is Outlook your default mail application? In IE go to Internet Options|Programs tab|Internet Connections section|click on "Set Programs".

I receive the "no internet connection" when attempting to send directly out of the HP Photosmart package. I can select pictures from the HP Premier application and have them sent to my Outlook application where I can then send them outbound with no issues.
The trouble comes when attempting to use an "email shortcut" in the HP Premier program to directly send to the recipient. I had this issue once before when originally loading the program some years ago, I have since had to reload the software and can no longer remember how it was reconciled.
thx

What are the settings for the "email shortcut" in the HP Premier program?
In other words, what does the "email shortcut" point to?

I am attempting to send directly to my email address "xxxx.xxxx@verizon.net" per the instruction. I sense the issue is with the Proxy settings in the HP software but loading the outgoing mail server and port information does not seem to help. thx.

If the default outgoing mail server (SMTP) port of 25 is not working, try port 587.

wynner1 --I probably still do not understand, but two ideas.
1) Uninstall and reinstall the printer or
2) If this started recently run a System Restore before the problem arose.
