Resolved [RESOLVED] Not Windows 8 preview but...

....not the fault of Windows 8 preview, as it happened before I put it on. BUT my graphics card - I have 2 in, a Radeon 6670 and an earlier Radion 4750 I believe -the 6670 frequently blacked out the screen, so I gave up and went back on my older one. Which didn't have the black outs. But yesterday I was on Steam and they now apparently look for driver updates for you. Great sez I. Upgraded, and now my older 4750 has blackouts too !
What the hell is going on ?
(If you feel this should be moved, by all means do so - just desperate)

The newer drivers , like this time and probably for both cards, are NOT the best for them. Roll back to the older versions that work and DO NOT update them again. Seen that happen lots of times over the years. where the newest flat break a good video card.

The "roll back" feature in my older card is greyed out. I have rolled back the other though (absolutely positive it's the older one Im using)

Will do anyway of course. And it was so.
Haven't really had much time to check anything, but the blackouts do seem to have disappeared. After I uninstalled the older card and just went on the motherboards own inbuilt graphics, then reinstalled the older card.

Yeah, Train was bang on. Removed the cards, let them reinstall, changed to the newer card, (5.9 Windows Exp) instead of older (4.7) and have had no problems since !
