[RESOLVED] Dell Inspiron 530S starting problem.
I am fixing a Dell Inspiron 530S Desktop Computer. It has a Foxconn G33M02 Micro ATX Motherboard. It is not starting and it has a switch panel(in a single sealed block) on the front of the M/C with Power, Audio and USB connections. Each have a different connector block on the board. There are 5 pins on the Power block and I do not know which ones are for the power button...so that I can jump it to start.
The block has no ID's on it, however they should be for power, the led and I don't know what else...since it has no reset.
If anyone has a clue on which pins it uses to start, how to identify them or if I can start it elsewhere I'd sure appreciate it.
The Dell site has a site, but it does not identify which wire goes to where !

Just try each combination of pin pair in turn. In my experience, the pairs always run horizontally, I've never come across a vertical pair yet. You cannot hurt anything by shorting out the wrong pair, so you don't need to worry about that.

The Foxconn G33M02 is the OEM motherboard for several Dell computers, and is listed on Foxconn's website as the G33M-S.

Seems the manual and drivers are here.

I couldn't get a download from the Foxconn site. I tried it numerous times.....thanks for the idea though.
I'll try the jumpers when I get the new power supply in...tomorrow or the next day. From an MVP it sounds sensible.
Thanks go y'all.

I've made the 'Motherboard Manual : Easy Guide' .pdf from that page available here:
Here's a quick text rundown of the 9-pins on the front panel block you're looking for:1 2 3 4
o o o o
o o o o o
5 6 7 8 9
Pins 1&2 are for the Power LED
Pins 3&4 are for the Power Switch
Pins 5&6 are for the Hard Drive LED
Pins 7&8 are for the Reset Button
Pin 9 does not connect to anything
