[RESOLVED] socket 939 / AM2 same?

I have to replace my AMD Athlon64 x2 4800 on my ASUS M2A-VM motherboard (running 64bit Windows 7). Some sites show the CPU as a socket 939 and my Asus has a AM2 socket. Would a socket 939 work as well?
