    MDP reader

I want to download one of the free MDP readers (that will let me read an MDP file). Can someone suggest one that runs on an XP pc? (I tried one but while I apparently successfully downloaded freefileviewer_2_1283.exe, the advertized installer never kicked in and I don't know what to do with the downloaded file. Dare I just RUN the file? I would prefer a download that installs itself automatically.)
    Thanks.

jseidel: Thanks much for the information on freefileviewer. I will definitely <pass> on it. I'm hoping someone will suggest a better way to read MDP files.

I found an MDB file reader which is for Microsoft Data Base and posted a link to it. I realized this was not the correct file extension you were looking for . . . unless you did a typo. So, I deleted the link and edited the post to "never mind". Sorry for the confusion.

jseidel and all: MDB is what I meant to type. So sorry for all the confusion.

Does Microsoft offer a reader for MDB files? Where else might I get one, short of buying Access?

Open Office should be able to work with an MDB file:

    Open Office

    Libre Office
