pdf hangs before opening in Outlook

Hello. I am having the similar kind of problem with MS Outlook-2007 ( Windows7, 64bit). While I clik or double click on the attachment, specially a PDF file, it hangs for few seconds and then performs the action. There is no problem with other fomat attachments like word, excel or picture files.Even if I want to attach a PDF file to new mail then also it hangs. If any body have any solution then please help me.

Have you tried a different PDF reader?

Thanks for the suggestion. Checked with Foxit reader but same problem persists.
I am using Adobe reader and this problem started since last 3-4 days.

What happens if you save the attachment to your hard drive and then double click on the saved file? Do you get the same delay?

I had saved the file on desktop and then double click on that file, then no problem for opening the file.

But, while I have click for save in outlook, again OL hanged.
I think there is issue between outlook and pdf files only.
Other wise both are working fine separately.
