    Question Laptop display screwed up

My husband's HP laptop somehow got its display turned on its side. We haven't been able to figure out why or to fix it.

He shut it down now out of disgust. But how could we fix it?

Change the display orientation to landscape.

This is how the control panel app looks in Windows 7, earlier operating systems may look different.

I remember the first time I saw this happen, about 10 years ago. A clients 8 year old managed to change the display orientation on his computer...Aah the memories....

Cool Not the problem I have, alas; don't know if this was a past problem

What I need is insight into why his keyboard is frozen. It just doesn't respond.

Do you have another keyboard you can attach? Does the keyboard work when you starting it up (try to access the BIOS settings using <Del> or F10> or <F2> or whatever key sequence the message says to use.)

The frozen keyboard has apparently been fixed: http://discussions.virtualdr.com/sho...d.php?t=251948

    Don't know about the display.
