I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help. It's gone, but I'm not sure I how I got rid of it. I did go to the control panel and remove it there...but I still got it as my start up screen. Once I changed that back to what I usually have, it seems to be gone!
I was running Firefox...which I didn't tell you.

In Firefox, look in add-ons and if it is there, uninstall it too.

I do believe the original poster has cured this problem in the last four years. Please, please check original starting dates on threads before posting.
