I'm in IE8 "This tab has been recovered" hell...
IE8 on Win XP SP3
On certain Web pages, when I do something like run a script by entering a value on one of the controls on the page, I get the message "This tab has been recovered" because there was an error on the page. Then, I cannot navigate away from that page on that tab, I have to open a new tab or else restart IE.
It also happens sometimes when I click on a normal link on a Web page.
I can use those same controls/links in Firefox with no problem.
Also, I was able to use those controls with IE with no problem before. So something changed.
These things have not helped:
Clearing browser cache
Disabling IE add-ons
"Resetting" IE
Reinstalling IE8
Does anyone have any ideas what to try next?
Thanks!

Try using Windows' "System Restore" to roll Windows back to a previous state when your computer was functioning correctly:
