Windows Explorer moving multiple folders

Need help with moving multiple folders in Windows Explorer (Win 7). How can I drag & drop multiple folders from one drive to another? Shift & Control keys don't work with folders. Is there another way of moving multiple folders in lieu of grabbing just one at a time?

Trying to move music folders from 1 drive to another. I tried the shift and the control keys with the folders but they don't work. I am currently moving 1folder at a time from 1 external hd to another.

Ctrl and Shift to select folders work just fine for me. If they work for your files, they should work for folders.

How big are the folders? How long are the full path names?

Is the external formatted with FAT32 or NTFS?

Both drives are NTFS format. Folder size varies from 3.21 MB to 3200 MB. Folder would be the Artist name with Album Titles as subfolders and mp3 songs listed under albums. Since I am able to copy folders, I can only assume the full path names are within Windows capabilities. I do not get any error messages about full path names being too long.

These are backup files I am moving to my master backup drive.

So you can't even select the folders with ctrl or shift? Did you try a ctrl+a to select all folders?

Are you sure you didn't enable sticky keys by mistake?

Control A does work. Sticky Keys is turned off as well as Filter Keys. I think I can use Control A and deselect the folders I don't want.

Are you doing ctrl or shift on the right hand side of Win Explorer? Left side no workee.

Is this on a laptop by any chance? I have head of touchpad drivers causing that problem.
