UimBuss and Uim_IM drivers
I have in my event viewer the following drivers failed to start UimBus and Uim_IM and from what I've read they belonged to Paragon. I had it installed once and removed it. Is this left overs and if so how do I remove them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm using Windows 7Pro 64 bit.

It sounds like they have failed to start because they have been removed, but the entries have been left in the Registry Here are the most common places to look for items that start (or folders that open) when you boot the PC:
1) Start>Run, type "msconfig" without the quotes, and then look in the Startup tab
2) C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu
3) Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder (WinXP)
And in the Registry at:
4) HK_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
5) HK_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
6) HK_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
7) HK_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
Uncheck or delete the entry as appropriate.
Nick.

That shows nothing at all. Maybe I should go into the registry and use find to remove everything that says Paragon since it is no longer on my computer.

There is no harm in trying. Backup the Registry first, just in case. But I have done that many times myself without ill effects.

I backed up the registry and removed all the Paragon stuff which was a few items and did a restart and it was still there. I fired off a support ticket to Paragon and included the text off the event and said it was there stuff, how do I get it off my computer. I'll post the answer when and if I get it. Thanks Sparks for your help.

I've had the same entries in my event viewer since I uninstalled Paragon (free version) as well (nearly a year ago). I was never able to fix the issue so I just ignored it since it was causing no apparent harm.
I await the response from Paragon.

This thread got me thinking about it again so I downloaded and ran "autoruns" http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s...rnals/bb963902
and went over the results with a fine tooth comb (everything tab). Found these two entries in the subcategory
HKLM\system\current control set\services and unchecked them...
rebooted and it seems the error message is now gone.

Thank You Fink, I did the same after reading your response and mine is gone also. I'm waiting to hear, if ever from paragon. It seems to me if you install they should be able to remove what they had installed, instead of leaving stuff behind.

No Problem

I got a reply back from Paragon and they said go to device manager and under Universal Image Mounter section and delete the drivers. I just replied back that there is no Universal Image Mounter in my Device Manager so you'll have to come up with something else to remove these drivers.

It may have been there before we uninstalled it. Bit of a catch 22.. you can delete the drivers while the program is installed when you'd need them but when you don't need them after you uninstall the program the entry isn't in device manager.
FWIW, Acronis TrueImage has a similar entry in device mgr for mounting the drives.
