[RESOLVED] Medion computer
Medion won't boot.
the two sets of wires are not hooked up
ATX SW Green & Black
Power Led Green & White
I think it has a N1996 motherboard.
That is all I can find.
The computer is a Medion Model PC MT6
I would like to know where they connect to the motherboard.
I have looked and googled and can not find out where.
My brother in law took they off and can not remember where from.
I would appreciate any help
Thanks in advance.

N1996 is not a motherboard model, it is a MSI code number required for products sold in Australia.
Look between the PCI slots for the name of the MB. Example in picture below.
I.e., Make/Manufacturer: "MSI", Model number: "K8T Neo-V".

Yes, on 6 & 8. The power switch can be connected either way, the LED is polarity sensitive, so if it doesn't light, turn the connector thorough 180 degrees.

When I hook it up that way,
The led blinks one time, but that is all.
The computer will not come on.
Would it blink if the Power supply is bad?
If so< how can I be sure the Poweer supply is bad?
Thanks again, for the replies.

If you have, or can borrow, a multimeter, here's how to test the power supply:
Testing PSU Voltages
ATX Power Supplies
Trigger Power Supply for testing
In depth look at the power supply
Or alternatively you can buy a proper PSU tester, they don't cost much:
PSU Tester
ATX12V PSU Tester

SuperSparks, I jumped the green and black on the
plug. When I turned it on nothing happened.
I guess that means the power supply is out.
I want to make sure the POWER LED & ATX SW where hooked
up right first.
Guess I will have to try another Power Supply.
Thanks again

If the power supply won't turn on when it is jumped, then it is dead for sure

hi i only have two plugs to the front panel. power led and atx sw.
1) Power switch connects to pins 6 and 8
2) Reset switch connects to pins 5 and 7
3) Power LED connects to pins 2 and 4
4) Hard Drive LED connects to pins 1 and 3
as these have two openings next to each other, i can only put them into odd or even pins. i don't understand how that can be possible. am i missing something?
