Does Windows 7 have a built in UNZIPPER?

I just got a new netbook from dell with Windows 7 Starter. I just downloaded a zip file and I get a message that it cannot open zip file. So whats up?

Are you sure it's even a zip?

7-zip is FREE and opens lots more formats.

Well here was my work around this issue.

Inserted FlashDrive onto my home computer, went to website and downloaded the file onto my flashdrive.

Pluged flashdrive into my netbook and was able to unzip file from there, and installed program.

I wonder when I download the file through wifi on my netbook, that it might have made the zip file corrput?

Kinda strange that it work through my work around... Things that make you go hummm?
