compaq armada 1590 dmt modem driver

I dont know the name of the modem in the laptop but would anyone know where I can find the modem driver to download for it. I took the modem out of the laptop awhile back and then I put it back in the laptop but I can't sign onto the internet now I hear the dial tone then it dials the number but i dont hear the noise it makes when its trying to connect then it says cant find the modem or something like that. I went into device manager and it says that the modem is working properly but obviously its not if its not connecting to the internet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my sisters laptop and shes pissed off with me cause she said i broke her laptop she doesnt know that i took the modem out of it and then put it back in it.

The files you need should be with where ever you unpacked the driver. They are not on the win98 disk. They're on your harddrive.
