    Avira with windows 7

I just got a copy of windows 7 pro 32 bit in the mail a few days ago. I installed it on my assus 1005HA netbook everything went well after I got it to boot from the sandick cruzer I copied 7 to and it runs well. Only thing is I wanted to install Avira (free version) and it looked like it was going to work but the installer just stopped and vanished from the screen on me before it finished. I tried it again and same. I looked on the web page and can't find anything that says it works with win7 or not. Has anyone gotten it working?

I'm using it on my RC installation.

I had it installed in a Win 7 Virtual Machine, with no problems. If you still have no luck, try Windows Security Essentials, I've found it to be excellent.

I'm running it on Windows 7 RC also. Works fine. I just upgraded to version 9.

You might try downloading Avira again as the original download may have been imperfect/corrupted.

I installed AVG in place of it when I could not get Avia to install. not sure how I like AVG, I have heard its not as good at catching and stopping viruses.

I will have to try downloading Avira again.

    Thanks

Avast works perfectly for me on W7.. it's certainly better and more reliable than AVG.
