Ram upgrade won't boot
Hi I have a Medion 96290 laptop with 2 x 1 gb ram. I did a crucial mem check and it said I could upgrade to 2 x 2 gb ram. I did this but the LT will not boot up at all, black screen. If I put back in the original ram its fine and if I put in either one of the new 2 gb ram modules it's fine also. BTW Medion also say the machine is capable of 4 gb Ram. Any help is much appreciated.

I found others who had the same problem even with a BIOS upgrade.
Post was dated for last Lan, so they may have a new BIOS that helps out.
I think the foul up is you use the auto bit as that laptop is not listed in the manual side.
Run into that with my new laptop and it is a Toshiba.
Use PC Wizard to correctly Identify you present ram and purchase 2 GB that match those specs. Should work.
