Breaking Up A 1.1G MP3
Long story but I have an enormious MP3 file 12 hours long and about 1.1Gigs in size!
How can I break it down into smaller sized MP3s?
What program should I use? Free?
I typically use Adobe Premiere for my editing but it's too damn big.

I already have Audacity. I attempted to use the "Export selection as MP3".
It them promps me to open another file which it cannot find.
I used your link to download a new version but it has the same results.

Thus far 'Wave Pad Sound Editor' seems to be working pretty well for editing an mp3.
It hasn't locked up on me but with a file this big it takes a long time to load.

You want mp3directcut - its available as a free download. It allows you to cut up an mp3 without without re-coding on save so there's no transcode/loss of quality
