    Control Panel problem

Running XP on a Dell laptop. Whenever the machine starts up, Control Panel opens... Cold boot / warm boot - doesn't matter... Anybody know how to stop this from occurring? There's nothing in Start Up... I cannot find anything in MSConfig...

    Download Autoruns for Windows: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb963902.aspx
    No installation required.
Simply unzip Autoruns.zip file, and double click on autoruns.exe file to run the program.
Go File>Export As, and save AutoRuns.txt file to know location.
Attach the file to your next reply.

Did you uninstall Dell's connection manager?

Previously, yes... Why? That shouldn't have anything to do with this problem, should it??

Yes. For some reason, on Dell computers, when you uninstall connection manager, it causes Control Panel to open on computer startup.
Reinstall it, and it should fix the problem.
