WMP audio keeps playing after shut down
For the past few days, any time I'm playing a video file in WMP11, if I shut it down before the video is done, the audio keeps playing in the background unless I shut down WMP using task manager. Any idea what could be causing this?

If you're running Vista, it's a known bug.

My had many trouble with Windows Media player 11 crashing.
I would suggest you revert back it version 10.

So it's a known bug for at least 2 years, and MS's solution is to . . . do nothing.
What I'm wondering is why I've had Vista for a year and a half, and this just started.

Apparently, it is caused by an as yet unknown particular combination of variables.

You gotta open WMP and disable the QUICKLAUNCH toolbar...
This allows you to CLOSE WMP and still have whatever your listening to still play....
Try right clicking your taskbar and going to QUICK LAUNCH AND DELETE THE ONE FOR WMP!!
Good luck!
