[RESOLVED] Problems with CD-RW recognizing burned CD contents
Here is what is happening: Using a CD onto which I had burned some of my songs, I can get the CD-RW to play the music IF I first set up a list of songs I want played but I have never had to take such steps before. Have I perhaps done something to cause this? Or is this "just" windows? Or.... As always, TIA.

Perhaps the recent MS update/fix to turn off autoplay? in explorer right click the drive and select "autoplay" and choose the action you want it to take with an audio cd.
VirtualDr email notices are not working.
Check back regularly for responses.

This attachment will show what options are given me when I click on autoplay.
I installed MP 10 yesterday hoping my problems would be resolved. My reason for doing that was I thought somehow version 9 had finally caused me some pain. It has been good to me for so long. Thank you for your reply

Thank you fink but neither of the suggestions helped me. Right now, I have a more pressing problem with XP and am going to post in the XP Forum. I'll have to come back to WMP later.
Gonna mark this one solved. Amazing what a new piece of hardware will do for an ailing computer--sometimes. Put a new DVD burner in this afternoon and reset the CD-RW Rom jumpers to slave on the same cable.
