Resolved [RESOLVED] Got this on this machine

Sorry I don't have a pic of this but it was the undeniable look alike MS dialog with this message: IE 6 has been removed from your computer. Do you want to clean up your personalized setting from this computer.
I tried every way to get around that stinking think, even tried the advice Ridge gave---using the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys to no avail. I deleted it using his system, rebooted and it came right back. I HAD to get into this machine, so I clicked on the X in the dialog window. I haven't seen it since. BTW, IE IS installed on this machine. Will be running my malware/virus apps. and will make a report. Oh, the machine I am talking about is the one in red in my signature.

To my rescue---again Doc And I thank you and the link you provided will be used(I'll choose the Reg File). Yes, every time I boot up I get that message. Sure is strange how someone gets the strangest messages at times. It never occurred to me to consider a Google for those words in the message. Of course, you have your way with such "things" and guess that comes with experience.

EDIT: Just before coming here for your reply, I got an all clear on each of my checking apps, (Avast, MB, SAS and A2.)

I finally got the chance to get back on this machine Doc.
Of course you knew it would work and I just proved it; those words about explorer on my desktop are no more.
