Different screensavers for different users?
I have several users configured on my machine. I have noticed that the screensaver cannot be set separately for each: if the SS is changed for one user, it is also changed for the others. At least, that's how it works on my machine.
Is there any way to change this behavior?
A related question: does anybody know how Windows keeps track of what SS is set? The information does not seem to be stored in the registry nor in an INI file. Unless I just can't find it. (Actually, I think that if anybody could provide me with this information, I could probably figure out how to set the SS separately for different users, if possible.)
Thanks!

Hi TH...Contol Panel/Passwords/User Profiles/ Make sure that Users can customize their preferences and desktop settings is checked. If this doesn't help at least it will be bumped up and I'm sure someone will be along to help you.

Thanks, Marina. I checked, and that's how it's set already.

Hi;
You should be able to do this. Maybe check out these articles>>>

Hope these are of some help.

I did a little looking around, and I found a fairly good software workaround: the Alternate screensaver by Thierry Paris. It's available at this URL:
http://perso.magic.fr/thierry-paris/English.html
You configure Alternate to cycle through a list of screensavers. When the system starts the SS, Alternate then starts one of the screensavers in its list.
Fortunately, you can configure the list separately for each user. And choosing just one screensaver for a user effectively makes that one the user's screensaver, though Alternate is actually the one the system starts.
