Resolved [RESOLVED] change E: drive recovery to D: recovery.

one hard drive WDC 400 Gb.
    Partition C: \system and programs
    Partition E: \ Recovery HP

Can I change E: partition to D: which at present is not appearing. only appears when I insert a USB external and/or stick?

DVD and CD are F: and G. drives.

    H,I,J,K, are readers.

L to O appear only when and If I enter a back-up HD with multiple partitions.
    music recordings, video.

    Or is this normal?

What you are seeing is normal. As long as you leave the C: drive assignment alone (Windows won't let you change it anyway), then you can change the others to whatever you like, though it might be best to leave the HP Recovery partition as it is in case the utility to access it is hard coded with the drive letter.

Guess it s like why screwup. It aint broke, leave it.
    Originally it was C & D.
Its only after I installed the DVD, and than started to use external HD or stick that it changed. Thought nothing of it , till now, but lets say resolved and leave a good thing going.
Thanks for the input, At least I know why, and how.
