    trusted sites in Firefox, where?

In IE I can find the trusted sites by going to tools . Internet Options > security etc. How do I find "trusted Sites" in Firefox? Or Maybe it is under exceptions(?) in "warn me when sites try to install add ons". Also if a site requires ActiveX then I cannot use firefox? Thanks

    I don't have a copy of FireFox...

List out all the options that you have clicked on and looked in.

Have you tried the HELP File?

That is where you add a trusted site in Firefox

Firefox doesn't use ActiveX, and this is good, since ActiveX is one of the main security issues.

Technically, Firefox has no Trusted Sites section. At least not like IE. The Exception section for cookies is only for cookies and would not provide any difference in security while surfing the internet. (Acceptance of cookies (or not) is a privacy issue, not security.)

However, if one makes use of the Firefox add-on called NoScript, then FF can have something much closer to a Trusted Sites setup. By default, NoScript blacklists all sites except a select handful. Through use and control by the user, the "trusted" list can then grow as needed. (See my screen capture of the plugins control panel of my NoScript.)

Using NoScript can indeed make FF more secure. BUT, it comes at a cost of being more of a hassle. In truth, most users would probably not like or wish to use NoScript. I am among those who feel it's use is worth the effort...

Thanks HAN, I use NoScript myself, but your explanation of it cleared up its use for me. I will continue to use it. Thanks
