cannot update windows xp-Service PacK 1
Whenever I used Windows XP update, it said that there is errror to install Windows XP Services Pack 1 . How can this problem be solved? I think I have installed Service Pack 1 and even 2 before. It may be that I deleted/uninstall them accidentially and that's why I have this problem now.
Any advices and suggestion? I don't want to un-install Windows Xp and re-install it . By the way, I am allowed to re-install Windows XP because my original Windows XP disk is Windows XP Home Edition and it always said that the version in my computer is newer than the one in the installation disk.
Sorry for long description.
Many thanks in advance.

Go to the link below and download SP2. It's not a widows update link!
It's the Microsoft download link. this should fix your problem!

If you right click My Computer and then click Properties, you can check your version. (See my photo.)

Thanks. I think I have installed Service Pack 2. However, there is still a problem in Windows update. The error message is " Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 cannot be installed" It said that my windows installer is not in correct version, somthing like this as they are in Chinese.
The version of my Windows is:
Microsoft Windows XP
Service Pack 2
The exclamation mark of updating is always on at the right bottom corner.
Any suggestion to resolve this problem?

Go here and download the newest installer.
Post back if you still have problems with NET Framework 1.1
