Moving Website, Propagation Question
Hello, folks.
I moved servers for my two domains last night. Same hosting company, but the server I was on was proving to be problematic so I moved to another.
Now, being the techno-ignoramus that I am, I'm trying to figure out a few things.
First, through my domain registrar, (GoDaddy), I switched DNS. Simple enough. But now how do I know when my sites are propagated and ready for prime time on the new server?
My other question is one of my domains isn't accessible at all, at least from where I sit. When I try, I am receiving some message about an Apache webserver being successfully installed. Huh?
Any insights are appreciated. Thank you.

That is the default page. You have to change that.
Log in and rename it or delete it.

When it's ready, you should be able to see your home page when you go to http://www.whatever_the_domain_name_is.com (or .net, or .org, or whatever).

the home page of your site should be named index.htm. Assuming that page is on your server, just type in your domain name, as mentioned previously, and if you see the homepage of your site, that all is well. Go daddy.com's tech support should be able to tell you when the DNS is pointing to your domain. They did for me.
There is nothing to fear, but life itself.
