    [64] Partitioning problems

Basically I have 2 hard drives my 260 gig is split in 2 partitions.

    c:\ has windows on
    d:\ is empty

e:\ a completly differnt drive (not important)

basically i'm finally running out of room on c:\ and want to merge d:\'s space with it however I got a copy of paragon partition manager and tried to merge but it could not as c: was being used by vista at the time. Does anybody know a way of merging these without losing data?

I'm thinking maybe a Live edition of linux but im not sure if that would work either..

Page 35 of the manual Merge partitions seems to suggest that the system partition can be merged so perhaps a read through may help you resolve the issue.

Vista has a built in ability to do stuff to partitions.
Click on Start->Help and search for Partition.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

As Steve says, you can merge partitions in Disk Management, you don't need 3rd party tools anymore
