Unhappy Can't get into email or certain websites! HELP!

For the past few days, I've not been able to get into either email acct. (peoplepc.com, wildblue.net), facebook or my bank's website.
I have no idea why or how this happened, unless someone hacked my system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

What happens when you try? Do you get error messages? Do they say you have the wrong password? Do you get any web page messages (eg- error 404)? Details would be helpful.

VirtualDr email notices are not working.

I keep getting "This page can't be displayed" messages. I've tried w/ ie & chrome, neither will work on these pages. I get the same message on both.
It's a relatively new system, HP Pavillion, bought it this past spring. It's already been in repairs 5 times for repairs -- once for virus, 4 times for stuff like this.
Sorry I didn't mention this before.

Scan with your antivirus and antimalware programs.
I assume you have antivirus already. If you do not have antimalware use MalwareBytes.

And here are other things to do

Another, easily overlooked, thing to check is the date on your computer. I've seen a couple of occasions lately (including my own PC) where it was set back somehow to pre 1999 and caused a lot of sites to not load (mostly https/secure sites that require special dated credentials to access).

    The date is fine.
It does on occasion drop a few hours, going back about 3 (i.e., if it's 12:30 p.m., time will read 9:30 a.m.). It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.
Should I try a different method, such as Mozilla or Firefox, to get to these pages?

Yes. And then try in Safe mode as well.

Let us know what happens ...

Did you try any of the suggestions in my post #4?

Can't install Malwarebytes, got the "this page can't be displayed" message.
Tried most of what Microsoft recommended, still working on it.

Can you reach any webpages? How are you accessing VirtualDr? Or is the problem only accessing some pages?

When you say "Can't install MalwareBytes" do you mean you cannot access the webpage I suggested or that you can but cannot install from the downloaded file?

To get to the Malwarebytes download page(s), try booting into Safe Mode with Networking. Also, try different web browsers (Chrome, Firefox).

Are you also saying that you have no antivirus app installed so you can use it on the PC?

I understand you tried a System Restore (per this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956196/en-us and were unsuccessful.

Can't install Malwarebytes, got the "this page can't be displayed" message.
Download MBAM on another computer, copy it to a flash drive, then copy it onto the "bad" computer.
