The primary objectives are to make sure that airflow is not obstructed and electricity is only conducted where it is needed.

My first though is to slap a non-transparent lid on the case and call it good.

If you want it to LOOK good as well, you may need to spend some money on longer wires and cables that leave enough slack for routing along the case edges. You can then wire tie them in place. You may even need a different case to make really look good, as well as considerable time to locate longer cables and get them installed. Be aware that data cables that are too long may affect critical timing, and power cables that are longer may also need to be heavier guage. If the case isn't going to get a transparant lid, lighting, and not be shoved under a desk, it probably isn't worth the effort.

Well it already has a transpearant lid IDK about the airflow I guess its pretty good cuz everything runs in the low to mid 90F except for the gfx card which runs hot.

Well I guess as train said it looks good.

It's about as good as you'll get without specialty wiring and cabling.

Usually they are not long enough, but I have been able to hook them around a corner of the mobo to get them out of the way sometimes.

I like to use lots of cable ties when I do a build, it does help to tidy things up a bit. Or another thing that is quite popular with the case modding crowd is spiral cable wrap:

Spiral wrap thats really weird, not my kind of taste though. I'll just try hiding the wires in places that is big enough for them and go from there.

Having the Power Supply at the bottom of the case really complicates things, cuz it is closer to most of the stuff and you need shorter wires.

That's where cable ties really come into their own, when you have cables that are too long, you can tie them in a neat bundle. You can get them in assorted colours if black isn't to your taste.

There's no reason why not, though given how little proper cable ties cost, and how easy they are to use, I still think they are preferable to anything else.

It's your computer, you can use anything you like.

What I used in a pinch once on a computer I sold was the plastic ties from a box of Hefty lawn & leaf bags - those ugly serrated plastic tie strips. The customer loved them because they were reusable.

There are always those velcro ties you can find at the hardware store.
