Uninstall OE6
Is there any way to completely uninstall OE6 I wish to remove it from my computer. Thanks for any info.

sheprd--I do not think you can. (Among other things, I think Outlook needs OE to run properly.)
In Control Panel|Add/Remove there is a button to the left that says "Add/Remove Windows Components". You will find OE in the list, but clicking to "remove" it will not uninstall it. It only adds or removes OE from the Start Menu . It does not actually uninstall it from the computer.
Why do you want to uninstall OE? Are you having some problem? If so, tell us and also tell us the version of Windows you run.

Seems like I've read it can be removed but I've also read it shouldn't be. IMO, if you want to deny access, rename the OE executable msimn.exe to msimn.old. OE can't run if Windows can't find the main executable...

Reason to uninstall OE6 I wanted to install a newer version but found that I
already had the newest version, so I decided not to uninstall it. Thanks to all responders for your responses. I appreciate the info. ( I'm still have a lot to learn about computers )
