Toolbar missing
My operating system is Windows XP Pro and Google is my Home page.
Yesterday after a microsoft update I find that my toolbar at the top of my home page is missing.
This is the toolbar with the e-mail and history icons etc on.
I would like to know how to get it back.
Thanks
wallie

wallie, Right click the Menu bar at the top and choose "Standard Buttons" If that doesn't work there's a fix at the link below under the Letter "T"---"Toolbar Repair".

Edited to add: Before doing any of the above first right click the Menu bar and "Unlock the Toolbars".

Still no joy.
After a bit of a tussle I finally managed to bring back the toolbar minus the e-mail and History icons.
If I right click on the toolbar there is no option for Standard Buttons, if from this menu I select Customise the Mail and History buttons are shown as being on the current Toolbar.
Even if I select the View option then Toolbars there is no Standard buttons listed, normally there is.
Thanks for the app which I run but nothing changed.
I have also noticed the address of my homepage which is normally:
www.google.co.uk
is now:www.google.co.uk/ig?.hl=en
I cannot get rid of this last part, if I delete it then press Enter it just comes back again.
So back to the drawing board.
Thanks
wallie

Version 7.0
Actually I have done a system restore which took me back to prior the microsoft update and the toolbar is o/k now, its back to normal.
The strange thing is that the home page address is still:
http://www.google.co.uk/ig?.hl=en
Thanks

IE7 is different than IE6 regarding the Toolbar buttons. Check out the link below.
The Read Mail toolbar button is not visible in Internet Explorer 7?
