zzstevo,
You can also hold down the 'ctrl' key and use the scroll button on your mouse to change the text size in IE7.

are there any advantages to explorer 7 ?
so far I wish I had the old one back
in ex 7 the favourites are in a box not the full
length of the page as before
and you can t expand the width I can t see some of my entries
also I ve solved the font problem thats fine
but I notice when I put addresses into yahoo mail the print is
so tiny I can hardly read it
the print here as Im typing has nt changed either its tiny.
another minus I ve been on one or two forums downloading pics
and the save to documents symbol the square box did nt
come up in the top left hand side
that save icon was one of the main pluses for int explorer
don t say thats gone
Im begining to think this is a downgrade ? are there
any advantages ? I might go back to int exp 6 !

zzstevo--No question about it, the IE7's GUI stinks. Lord knows what MS was thinking of.
When you right click on a Favorite in the left panel, you have no option to Open in New Window. (You have to hold down Control and then Left click the Favorite.) You also have no option to Create Shortcut. That drives me nuts. (The work around is right click on the Favorite|Properties|copy the URL.)
IE7 does not work well with certain programs. You will find out which. Supposedly, third party program writers are developing new versions compatible with IE7 if they have not already. And ThirdParty PopUp Blockers often do not work with IE7.
Are there advantages? Well, we now have AntiPhishing, tabs and ability to subscribe to RSS feeds. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx
Concerning the font size thing, you should have a little magnifying glass (with a % number) at the bottom right of the screen. Click that or the down arrow to its right to change Font Size.
I presume you have gotten your old Menubar back. (File, Edit, View Favorites, etc.) If not, right click on a blank spot of the Toolbar and check MenuBar. Also by right clicking on a blank spot on the Toolbar|Customize Command Bar|Add&Remove Commands you can change what appears on the lower Toolbar.

To make the favourites box act more like IE6, click the icon in the top right corner of it (tooltip "Pin the Favourites Centre").

Agree with zzstevo. IE7 is a downgrade from IE6. The alleged new safety features have been covered by third party applications for so long they must be growing a gray beard.
My version works sort of OK - it scrambles some web sites.
I use it only for Windows updates. If it was not for that I would dump it and use Opera as my backup browser.

If you want to roll back, just uninstall IE7 through Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs.

yep I think I ve managed to do that
at least partially
the save box is coming up top left on any pic I decide
to save and the favourites are back to normal
but some things have changed like the tiny print Im typing
now, I can hardly read it
but at least Ive managed to shake off most of int explorer 7
wot a nightmare
I got the newest version of windows viewer recently too
and looking at the library and all audio etc
nothing seems the same I want to go back to the old
version of that too
someone should tell Bill Gates,
if it aint broke, don t fix it !

I don't understand your text size problem. On my IE7 Tools/Text Size takes me to 5 options from smallest to largest - same as IE6.

my text size it fine , looking at this forum for
ezample and on yahoo mail etc
but in this box typing, the print is tiny I can only just read it which it was nt
before I downloaded int ex 7 and in yahoo mail
the addresses print is tiny in there too suddenly
its as though I ve got back to int exp 6 for most things
but there are still some residues of int exp 7
