Can't log in to a few sites

I'm having trouble logging in to several accounts on my 2 laptop computers at work. They both connect to the internet via a router which uses a PC Broadband card (a PC Express type card from Verizon). The router connects to one PC via an ethernet cable and the other via wireless.

On both computers I can't log in to my Juno email (web based email service) and on another secure site I do some online distance learning from. On both Juno and this other site whenever I put in my password and hit 'enter' , the screen comes right back to the same page as though I never entered a password. It's as though it's not accepting my password. I checked my browser and my cookies are enabled. I disabled both my firewall (Zonealarm) and my antivirus (Avast) and the same issue happens. Plus this just started happening yesterday, whereas no settings have changed or newly added software or hardwared in the last few days.

When I go to my home PC (a desktop), I have no trouble getting into Juno or the other site.

What could be happening?

Some additional info:

When I log into Facebook I get this error message:
Cookies Required

Cookies are not enabled on your browser. Please adjust this in your security preferences before continuing. (however, my cookies ARE enabled in both Firefox and Internet Explorer)

Also, I get logged out of sites frequently. Many times on Facebook, I'll have to re-log-in, because I've been kicked off. Same with this website (VirtualDr.com). Something's up but I don't know what it is.

In fact, I've had to relog in to this site twice in the last half hour. Facebook says I have to log-in again after about half hour because it says I've 'timed-out.'

Clean out your cookies, as you have a bunch of corrupted ones.

Open IE, Tools Internet Options.



Once cleared, reboot. Now you should be able log back in just fine.

Thanks for the advice, however, I tried it and still no luck. It seems the common thing among all the sites (the ones I get on and the ones I can't log into)...is that the session seems to be expired. So even though I try to log-in somehow the site interprets my session to have expired due to inactivity (i.e., SESSION TIMED OUT). Very Strange!

I tried everything that link said to do. Still having the same problem. Nothing seems to have changed.

What's odd is that is that I used to be able logged in to Facebook ALL DAY long without having to login. Now, it expires and kicks me off about every 1/2 hour.

More suggestions please! Thanks in advance for your help!

You nailed it!

When I started from 'Safe Mode with Networking', while in Safe Mode I was able to access my Juno email account along with the other site which was not letting me in.

Where do we go from here? Thanks again.

Go Start>Run (Start Search in Vista), type in:
msconfig
Click OK (hit Enter in Vista).

Click on Startup tab.
Click Disable all

Click Services tab.
Put checkmark in Hide all Microsoft services
Click Disable all.

Click OK.
Restart computer in Normal Mode.

See, if you can access those sites now.

NOTE. If you use different firewall, than Windows firewall, turn Windows firewall on, just for this test, since your regular firewall won't be running.
If you use Windows firewall, you're fine.

I'm getting the error message: "An access denied error was returned while attempting to change a service. You may need to log on using an administrator account to make the specified changes."

However, I did go in through 'safe mode' and logged in my computer as the administrator. Any ideas?

Go to C:\Windows\System32, find msconfig.exe, hold SHIFT, and right click on it.
Click on Run the program as the following user, and then type the user name, password, and domain of the administrator account.
