Error code 10053, then 10054

I have XPHome, Eudora 7, and have had no difficulty at all until yesterday. I have two computers on a router, side by side, at home. I can receive mail with no problem, and I use 3 e-mail names. On one of these names I began yesterday to get Error 10053. I use RoadRunner, so I went to their webmail area and sent and received mail using the webmail, so I know the addresses and passwords are correct. I switched to the second e-mail name and it would send but the primary name would not -- receiving is no problem. I checked the Advanced settings and the timeout is 300. I use AVG antivirus, so I disabled it, sending and receiving, and this made no difference, so I reactivated it. Now I can not send from name 1 or 2, but 3 will send. When I send a trial mail, it will go very quickly in the small activity window, then it stalls and the other 2 names will not be allowed to send, and I am now getting the error 10054. I went to the Eudora.log and marked it so I could copy the section for today with the info. (I deleted the information related to e-mail addresses, but all of them were there. Can you give me some assistance as to what is the trouble here?

Thanks, Train, for the reply, but I do not use SpamPal. I use MailWsher Pro so I preview the mail subject line and Mailwasher deletes those I do not want. I did a search for these errors and found the SpamPal site, but I do not use it. I should have put that in the post.

Well, make sure Mailwasher can get through your firewall.
Seems that firewall is stopping something is what causes that error from what I read in the links a google search brought up.

Thank for the reply. Mailwasher gets through. I posted this same problem with the Eudora forum, and got a return post that the log file showed a port was rejecting the attempt to open it -- or something like that. What I have done is bypass the router by plugging this computer directly into the modem, and all the mail goes through. The interesting thing has been that one e-mail address will send mail and the other two do not, but then it got to the place that none would send. There is something incorrect in the router, I think, but I do not know whether it is hardware or software. My other computer a time or two gave me the same message. I have Eudora 6.2 on it, and 7 on this one. I have not checked that computer connected to the modem, but I imagine it will send mail as this does when directly connected. If I reconnect the router and the problem shows up again, that should be conclusive. I do not know if powering down the router for a few minutes would reset it or if uninstalling the dirvers and reinstalling might help. Any suggestions there?

I am up and running correctly. I powered off the router for a minute, replugged the cables and both computers now send and receive mail from all accounts. I trust if someone else has the problem this may give one more answer to what it could be. Thanks for the replies and suggestions.
