    Re: OTTO

Hello DtNyc, do a search on Google, if you cannot recognise Otto as a few programs etc come up with that in Google, then you could go back to the day before you uninstalled it, and restore to that date.

    Using system restore.

I can only find ONE program on my computer, called Otto mcl C:\windows\ehome Do a search on your XP machine for this file.
It's Needed for Media Centre, so if its missing, i think your best doing a System restore if you have not Got windows Disc two if its the same as mine.

Maybe someone else can check this out here.

    Hope this helps, GEP

Not one I'm familiar with. And like gep says it comes up in a number of radically different programs in google... Oracle server patch, game of some sort, part of a spyware infection.

Do the restore but if not having otto and not noticing any problems I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

(when you say "uninstal" do you mean delete?)
    Don't believe everything you think.

There are two games that you can install and play on Media Center – they are hidden so here’s how you get at them:

You should find you have Otto's Magic Blocks and Gem Master on your system as well. Whilst these are not fully installed by default you can quickly and easily add them.

I'm not sure how to describe Otto's Magic Blocks but Gem Master is a more complicated version of Tetris.

Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Windows\Ehome and you should find "otto.mcl" and "gem master.mcl"

    Your welcome.
Plus it keeps the kids off of the computer too.
    Old trick I use.
