4 Port USB Hub Not Recognized....
Just bought a 4 Port usb 2.0 hub for my laptop but it is not recognized. My old hub worked fine but no matter what I do, it just doesn't want to know. It gets recognized immediately on my XP machines at work. Any ideas please?

Did you get into SETUP (BIOS) to ensure that USB is enabled????

Is it a powered hub? If so, is it plugged in?
Was the old hub USB2? If not, presume you have checked Device Manager|Hardware to be sure you have USB2 capability. (One of the USB Controller listings will show as Enhanced.)

Thanks Welshjim & Murf, I'm not sure about the bios but it is not powered and my laptop does have usb 2.0 enhanced capability and in 'Properties' it says it's working properly. My usb broadband modem and printer work fine. I thought it was a duff hub but it gets recognized on pc's at work.
