MB with extra power input
I have a new gigabyte socket am3 MB.
The 4 pin power input for the cpu was actually 2 x 4 pin inputs.
The power supply in the case has only 1 x 4 pin connector. I connected it and the MB and CPU worked ok.
So what is the second 4 pin input for?
Are there now power supplies with 2 x 4 pin connectors?

Since around 2007 in fact. As you have discovered, most CPUs work fine with just one connected though.
