If its just firefox check the connection settings via tools/options/general/connection settings and if your using a proxy make sure its configured correctly on that page too.You might also recheck your firewall is confifigured correctly as it may be blocking the FF connection.
i do not have a proxy and the browser worked fine then just quit.windows firewall is set to allow FF..I just don't get it I even did a system restore after the issue started and that did not help???i am lost!!! i can not even access my router using FF??

boots963: i am curently running Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0..this is from the help button on the tool bar while the window is open...
Hi boots963,
fwiw, my rv:is 1.7.12 and Firefox 1.07.....so there is a later version of 1.07.
I know you have gone thru the installation, un and re....but you might want to clean out all ffox files , etc and do a fresh download and install.
Just a thought.
I had a similar problem with an earlier version of Firefox. The way I got it to work was to create a folder on my desktop and unzip the downwload to that folder and installed from there.I haven't had any problems since and I still have my Firefox folder on my desktop. (Don't laugh it works for me)
The true test of character is not how much we
know how to do, but how we behave when we don't know what to do
Have you tried running Firefox in safe mode? If that works, a theme or extension has gone bad. Remove one theme or extension at a time until it starts working again.
