I wanted to use FaxTalk Communicator program, and because of my modem's specifications, a message indicated that I needed to reinstall the software to accommodate the modem.
I found and opened an EXE file in FaxTalk's folder before uninstalling, to see if it was the setup program. It was, so I copied it to another folder first (I never had a CD or other backup for the program). Then I uninstalled FaxTalk, thinking I could reinstall from the EXE file. Well, I was wrong; the error message said that a DLL file was required by the EXE file. That file, along with other FaxTalk files, are gone.
Is there a way to un-uninstall a program, i.e, is there an Uninstall folder where I can extract the FaxTalk program files? Thanks.
Hello Compcues, if you have Windows XP, you can go back and choose a date before you uninstalled the program.
Make sure you know what programs etc you have updated/installed since and back them up.
Try and always make a back-up of your hard drive by ghost, or by at least copying programs to a DVD or CD etc
Hope this helped, GEP
